Christianity - A Way of Life

Christianity - A Way of Life
Lesson 11

Is it acceptable to believe we are free to worship God as we wish, to refashion God in our own image? Or has God revealed an approach to life that He expects us to follow? Does it make any difference in the relationship we are supposed to have with Him? In this lesson we examine the answers to these questions and more from the Scriptures.

Sunset to Sunset - God's Sabbath Rest

Sunset to Sunset - God's Sabbath Rest

Why did God command a day of rest to begin with? Did He have a purpose for it, and, if so, what is that purpose? Is the Sabbath relevant at all for humankind today? Does it make sense in today's world? The questions go on and on. Why should there be such confusion about one of the 10 basic guiding principles and laws God gave mankind? There are answers to these questions, and you don't have to look far to discover them. They can be found in the Bible. Join us for a journey through the Bible to discover God's Sabbath Rest. In this booklet we will answer these basic questions.

This is the United Church of God

This is the United Church of God

The mission of the United Church of God is to proclaim to the world the little understood gospel taught by Jesus Christ—the good news of the coming Kingdom of God—and to prepare a people for that Kingdom. This message not only offers great hope for all of humanity but encompasses the purpose of human existence--why we are here and where our world is headed. In this booklet we outline the mission and key activities of the United Church of God, an International Association, and the beliefs that drive them.

Why the Bible is the Word of God

Why the Bible is the Word of God
Lesson 1

Our secular society has come to the point where it basically ignores the Bible as the instruction book for personal character. Truth has become relative in this age. In the energetic pursuit of material possessions, humans are ignoring spiritual development. This lesson addresses the questions of God's existence, why humans were created in the first place, and an overview of the Bible itself.
