The focus of the Feast of the Unleavened Bread is a time to learn more of God's plan and the process which brings us closer to our God given goal. The message God sent Jesus to bring was the message of the soon coming Kingdom of God to this earth, and with it, the promise of entry into that Kingdom as a child born of God. All of God's Holy Feastivals have to do primarily with that message of Christ.
The Kingdom of God has always existed. God's annual Feasts described in Leviticus 23 tell of the plan He embarked on before anything was created - to bring others into his family. His family will be of His kind, the God kind, and the object of God creating everything, including the angels, was to bring "many sons to glory".
For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the Captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings (Heb. 2:10).
God sent this message through Jesus Christ. God also sent Him to come to this earth to die for our sins – the starting point of achieving this most wonderful objective.
The Passover represents this beginning - the beginning of our journey toward the Kingdom of God - by releasing us from the power of the devil and sin. The Feast of Unleavened Bread of seven days pictures the process of leaving sin and this world behind and growing in God's mind though Jesus Christ. Eating unleavened bread for seven days represents coming out of sin and coming out of this world by being sustained by the very mind of Christ residing within us through the Holy Spirit.
God's message to Ancient Israel was clear - move toward the promised land under the leadership and provision of the Rock, who is Christ. The message to us is also clear. Keep moving each day, week, month and year, inevitably toward the time when we are welcomed into the Kingdom of God through a resurrection of the dead when Jesus Christ returns the second time. Jesus Christ brought this message 2000 years ago. He died and was raised so that we would believe that message. He lives now to do his workmanship in us. He is the author and finisher of our faith and if we yield our will to His, He will defeat sin in us. During the Feast of Unleavened Bread we are to eat plenty of unleavened bread and live by the bread of life - Jesus Christ every day of our lives (Gal 2:20).
If Jesus of Nazareth is indeed the Prince of Peace, why does the world see so little of it? What part of the picture are we missing? If He truly is the Prince of Peace, how will peace come? Where is that hope in a world so devoid of hope?
The answer to these questions lies in a series of little-known festivals revealed long ago in the world's best-selling book—the Bible. God doesn't leave us in the dark about the solution to our many seemingly unsolvable problems. He has given us the key to understanding—though most have ignored or lived in ignorance of it!
Many believing Christians celebrate Easter as a way to honour Jesus Christ's resurrection. But Easter is a day with very different roots—stretching long ago into pre-Christian paganism. The Bible alone has the truth of Jesus' life, death and resurrection, and it shows a different set of celebrations—the Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread—that give us the real story that Easter doesn't tell us.
Humanity has been deprived of the keys that unlock a comprehensive understanding of God's plan and purpose for humankind. God reveals His splendid plan in the prophecies and teachings of the Scriptures. In this lesson you will see how God has provided us with the keys to unlock His plan through His sacred festivals.
Is it possible to know what the future holds for us? The Creator of mankind does have a plan for us, and He reveals it to us through an annual cycle of festivals described in the Scriptures. It is an astounding plan offering an incredible future to every man, woman, and child who has ever lived. This booklet will help you understand the incredible truth about what lies ahead for all humanity.
Many people are shocked to discover the origins of our most popular religious holidays. They are also surprised to find that the days God commands us to observe in the Bible-the same days Jesus Christ and the apostles kept-are almost universally ignored. Why? Also, why are today's supposedly Christian holidays observed with so many rituals and customs that are not sanctioned anywhere in the Bible? In this booklet you'll discover detailed answers to these questions.
Is the devil real? Many people assume he’s just a mythological figure or some sort of symbol of all evil. But your Bible tells a very different story. It describes a very real being of enormous power and influence over human beings. In fact, it tells us that this being “deceives the whole world” (Revelation 12:9). It describes him as “the god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4)—an evil spirit being who desires to be worshiped by human beings and who tries to usurp the one true God. How does he deceive the entire world? A major way is through false religion—by infiltrating churches and denominations and subtly influencing them into teaching a “different gospel” and “another Jesus” quite different from what the original apostles taught (2 Corinthians 11:4; Galatians 1:6-9). Could you possibly be influenced by this being? How can you know? You need to read this issue of Beyond Today! It’s vitally important that you understand the truth!
