"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven...a time to keep silence" says the Ecclesiastes.
It is important for us to realise the benefits that come when we are able to separate ourselves from the distraction of life, disengage from the world's hurry, noise and crowds and quiet our hearts before God and regain a spiritual prospective.
Even Christ had the urge to get away from the needy crowds following Him, to share times of silence to connect with His Father and keep this relationship ongoing on a daily basis. In the midst of our trials we can silently wait on the Lord; "... It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord... Let him sit alone and keep silent, because God has laid it on him" (Lamentations 3:25-29). It is God that has to intervene; "Do not keep silent o God! Do not hold your peace and do not be still o God!" (Psalms 83:1).
Being still also means being in silence and meditate. In silence we can pray, we can study the word of God, we can quiet our emotions of fear, doubt and worry while we stand still and await on the Lord.
The more we develop a relationship with God, the more we learn HOW He works, the more we learn to be still and let God's Mighty Hand work, instead of ours.
There is a crisis of faith. Few people place confidence in God or the future. Many have no faith their marriages will survive, that political leaders will honourably serve their country or that education will prepare them adequately for the challenges ahead. Faith is all too rare today. This booklet will help you understand the keys to living faith.
How is God One? Is God a Trinity? Who was Jesus of Nazareth? Was He a mere man, or much more? What was the significance of His death and resurrection? In this booklet you'll learn more about the nature of God and Jesus Christ and our future destiny with them as revealed in the Bible.
Why do you exist? What is your destiny? Is there a reason, a purpose, for human life? These questions have baffled the greatest thinkers and philosophers down through the ages.
In this booklet we will examine the Bible's teaching on conversion—it is not just a one-time event. Instead the Scriptures reveal that it is a process. The process begins with God's calling, followed by the key steps of repentance, baptism and the receiving of the Holy Spirit, finally climaxing with the return of Jesus Christ — when the dead in Christ are resurrected to immortality and given eternal life — the ultimate transformation!

Have you ever considered how much the Easter holiday just doesn’t add up? Start with the timing: Jesus said He would be in the tomb three days and three nights. But do the math—a Good Friday crucifixion to a resurrection on Sunday morning is at most only one day and small parts of two others, plus two nights. Also, John’s Gospel tells us Jesus was already resurrected before sunrise, so we can’t count that part of a day. Does the Bible offer a solution? Yes, and when we understand it, everything adds up perfectly! But that’s not all that doesn’t add up about the Easter holiday. What do rabbits, colored eggs and sunrise religious services have to do with Jesus Christ’s resurrection? Discover the fascinating historical truth about all this and much more in this issue of Beyond Today!
