Yes! Please Subscribe MeOnly around 28 percent of the world's population is Christian. The majority of humanity have never heard the name of Christ, and there are millions who have lived in the past in the same situation. Does God care about them?
Most churches teach this life is the only opportunity for salvation. That is if you don’t come into contact with biblical teachings during your lifetime you will not have an opportunity to really know God, be saved and live eternally. In order to get around this problem some Christian churches have developed various explanations.
The Catholic Church teaches the concept of Purgatory. I.e., those who don't accept Christ in this life can be purged of their sins after death by suffering in purgatory to qualify to receive eternal life. Other churches preach that obedience to God's laws is not necessary to be saved. Believing Jesus is your Saviour is all that is required.
The false assumption that this life is the only chance at salvation has caused grief and anxiety. Many mourn for deceased loved ones who have never sought God, believing they have missed out on Salvation. But God is our loving Creator who cares about every human being who has ever walked this earth. In fact, the Bible teaches there will be a resurrection for all mankind and that the dead are not currently in heaven or hell, but in the grave awaiting the resurrection on that great day!
At that time all will be judged according to their works after being taught of God’s way and being given a chance to live according to His will. In the future all who have ever lived will have an opportunity to accept or reject God’s righteous ways.
The God we serve is righteous and fair and wants all who have ever lived to choose His way of life. In 1 Corinthians 15:22-23 we read: "For since by man came death, by Man (the sacrifice of Jesus Christ) also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ ALL shall be made alive. But, each one in his own order."
For those who have worried about family and friends, learning the real truth about God's plan of Salvation is wonderful and life-changing. God truly is a God of justice and fairness who doesn't want anyone to perish! There is a time coming when God will be calling all who have lived on the earth to Salvation.
