The answer to almost any question you want to ask is now no further away than an internet search engine.
Whether it’s a television talk show or an Internet search we often discover there’s more than one opinion about the subject at hand. How do we determine who is right and who isn’t?
We are told in 2 Timothy that humanity apart from God would always be learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:7). This prophecy is being fulfilled in our day. Many are motivated by a fear of social ostracism and would rather not express a definite opinion or belief on a matter in order to remain part of whatever social structure they belong to.
But what about the great questions for humanity: Is there a God in heaven? Does my life have a purpose? What happens when we die? The Apostle John promised those who sincerely seek the truth of God “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free” (John 6:32).
