Resources (UCGIA)

Young Adults
The UCGIA young adults segment has been established in recognition that From the young adults will come the future servants and leadership in the Church. From age 18 to 30 is a key time when life-directing, character-building habits are formed.

Vertical Thought
When was the last time you thought about God and His plan for you? Vertical Thought—a magazine of understanding for tomorrow’s leaders—elevates your thinking with down-to-earth, real-life articles about Christianity written with young adults and teens in mind. Apply what you read and you can have a better life now as well as in the future. Remember: as one "thinks in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7).

Sermon Library
The primary resource currently available from the UCGIA young adults segment is the youth sermon library, providing audio sermons that have been prepared with teens and young adults in mind.

Bible Reading Program
The Bible Reading Program provides daily readings and commentaries, and is designed to complete the entire Bible in approximately three years. It can be followed on the Internet via the daily reading and commentary, downloaded each month or via a printed copy provided to interested members of local congregations - see your pastor more more information.

Ambassador Bible Center
The United Church of God an International Association, has established a systematic and intensive biblical instruction program called the Ambassador Bible Center (ABC). A highly-focused curriculum is offered where students can deeply immerse themselves in the Scriptures. The goal of the Center is to pass along to the next generation the understanding of God's Word and His plan. Classes are held in Cincinnati at the home of the United Church of God, with instruction provided by experienced ministers of the Church.

The program is designed to provide students with intensive instruction for a period of about eight months. Students take part in course work Monday through Friday each week during normal business hours, completing assignments and tests during the day in addition to attending lecture presentations. The remainder of the students' time (evenings) is then available for them to hold part-time employment to help pay for enrolment fees, housing, food, and other personal living expenses. Students are expected to secure and fund their own housing and other costs, as the Church has no plans to build or maintain a campus.

Read the latest report regarding attending ABC based on the experiences of Craig and Natalie McQueen.
